WestJet invests In Guest Experience Through Major Cabin Reconfiguration

To provide clients with a consistent and enjoyable onboard experience across the WestJet narrow-body flights, WestJet is investing in modernizing their current Economy-only aircraft. 

Once updates are complete, these aircraft will feature both Premium and Economy cabins. The new layout will provide you with flexibility to choose the price point and travel experience that’s right for you. Here’s what to expect on the newly reconfigured aircraft: 

A standardized Premium cabin: When you select a seat in Premium, you can be confident that the same onboard experience will be delivered on these aircraft. 

Extended Comfort seating: A new and larger Extended Comfort section will be located directly behind Premium. This means more opportunities to secure seats with extra legroom and other added benefits. 

Modernized Economy seating: You will enjoy newly designed seats and adjustable headrests, featuring enhanced cushion and back support with a fixed-recline that helps preserve personal space. The standard seating in the Economy cabin offers choices ranging from less space at the back to more space near the front of the cabin, all with the same great amenities.

Tech upgrades: You will enjoy in-seat USB-A and USB-C outlets with hands-free personal device holders throughout the Economy cabin. All these aircraft will also feature the new, fast, free WestJet Wi-Fi presented by TELUS that will change the way you connect onboard.

The first of their newly configured aircraft will soon take flight, with the rest of the current Economy-only aircraft following within the coming months.
