U.S. extends COVID-19 vaccination requirement for non-U.S. travellers entering by air

January 09, 2023

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has released an amendment to the U.S. government's policy requiring any non-citizen arriving by air into the United States to prove they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  In this case, a traveller is considered fully vaccinated once 14 days after dose of an accepted single-dose vaccine or second dose of an accepted 2-dose series.* The order has been extended through April 10, 2023.

Passengers must provide proof of their COVID vaccination to their airline prior to boarding.  Those passengers who cannot show proof of vaccination can’t board the plane.

This is the latest extension of COVID vaccination mandates for air travel into the U.S. by non-U.S. passengers.
